Scrutiny Committee Member

Soil Association

Volunteer • Part Time Emma Yeats

Sectors: food, farming & horticulture

Closing date: Wednesday, 31 January 2018

Could you be our next Scrutiny Committee member representing the Forestry Sector?

This is a great opportunity to join the Certification Scrutiny Committee, a group of people representing various stakeholder groups, who have a shared interest in safeguarding the integrity of the certification body, a trading arm of the Soil Association. The committee plays an important role in providing independent assurance of the effectiveness of our quality management system and integrity behind our certification marks.

We are now recruiting for an astute and principled individual with good judgement and a keen sense for integrity and independence to join our independent Certification Scrutiny Committee (CSC) in 2018. We are specifically looking for a representative from the forestry sector so it is a requirement that you have knowledge and or have worked in this sector.

The Certification Scrutiny Committee meets twice a year in the Soil Association’s offices in Bristol and is fully remunerated with reasonable travel and subsistence expenses reimbursed.

It is an interesting and varied group that we are looking to add representatives from the consumer, food manufacturing and agriculture sectors to. It will offer a fantastic opportunity to gain or add to your skills base in governance and independent review. If you would like to find out more, or express an interest, please get in touch with Emma Yeats, Operations Manager - Quality & Inspection Manager

We will be accepting applications until 31 January 2018
