Moor Trees is seeking new Trustees including the honorary position of Treasurer to join its Board this year. If you are interested in being part of a small team of dedicated trustees supporting a local charity then we would like to hear from you.

Moor Trees' Board of Trustees (also referred to as the Council of Management) is accountable and responsible for the governance of the charity. The Trustees work closely with the Chair and Chief Executive to ensure the Board of Trustees fulfils its collective responsibilities, which include setting an overall strategic direction for the charity and ensuring effective implementation.

We are particularly interest in candidates with the following experience:

  • Revenue generation - developing commercial income streams and philanthropic giving
  • Marketing and communications including digital marketing
  • Expanding a high-quality volunteer base
  • Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) frameworks and access to green finance
  • Philanthropy sector (grant-making trusts, foundations and major donors)
  • Land ownership and expertise in creating healthy woodland in the UK and uplands including the impact of climate change

For more information about us please do look at our website, Facebook or LinkedIn pages. If you want to apply please see the recruitment section at the end of the information pack on our website.

If you are interested, then the next step would be to submit a CV by the end of May 2025 before being invited to attend an interview with the Chair, one or two trustees and the Chief Executive.

Our preferred candidate(s) will then be invited to attend a Board meeting as an observer before being formally elected by our members and appointed at our AGM in September.
