Would you like to help to reduce waste in Worcestershire? The County Council's Let's Waste Less programme is recruiting volunteers, to work with local communities to reduce waste of all types. Let's Waste Less volunteers help to improve recycling, cut food waste, and increase composting, repair, re-use, upcycling and resource sharing. Volunteers attend events and engage with various community groups, to educate and inspire people, to reduce waste of all types.
Volunteers are supported to learn as much as possible, through training by industry experts, as well as regular visits to waste and recycling facilities. You will join a network of passionate and experienced volunteers, and will be supported to develop your skills and experience. You may wish to work in your own community as a local champion, or you may wish to attend events across the County. There are many opportunities to make tangible improvements in waste management and prevention, in this role.
Garden Organic are working with Worcestershire County Council on this project. You will be part of a wider network of Garden Organic volunteering schemes across the country.
