Why we need you: 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and driven individual interested in volunteering in conservation! The role will involve assisting with our tree planting project, helping us to deliver our midweek group volunteering days and guiding volunteers through practical conservation tasks and also supporting on nature based well being sessions.

You will gain lots of new skills and knowledge such as tool use and maintenance, volunteer communication, teamwork and much more.

You'll also be formally trained in first aid, safeguarding, risk assessments and more, and have access to various online courses.

The Volunteer role will give you real responsibility in a supportive environment, and aims to support you into being able to run activities and lead groups independently. We will also aim to provide you with useful job opportunity information, interview guidance and references going forward. 

What you need: 

  • To be over 18 years old 
  • Enthusiasm and motivation to organise and help deliver projects.
  • Ability to work well in a team and take on individual responsibilities.
  • Interest in the environment and nature.
  • This is a voluntary position and no experience or knowledge is required, but any background in working outdoors or conservation may be beneficial.

How much time:

A minimum of two days is required, with one of these days being a Monday, for 6 months.
