Social Media Summer Placement

Severn Rivers Trust

Home-based, with some travel required around the West Midlands

Volunteer • Part Time

Sectors: conservation & wildlife, environmental education, water & hydrology

Closing date: Sunday, 2nd June 2024

Join our busy Community Engagement team to support the work of Severn Rivers Trust this summer! We are looking for volunteers to help 2-3 days per week through July to September 2024.

You will help us by creating content for our social media channels (Facebook, X, Instagram and LinkedIn). You will meet with our staff and volunteers online and in person to seek out good news stories from around the river Severn region. You will take photographs and short videos. You will schedule these to be published, helping us connect with our online followers.

This will be an incredible boost to your CV. You do not need formal training or qualifications to apply for this role. It is perfect for anyone currently studying, or those looking to make a move into conservation or communications careers. We are more interested in people with a can-do attitude than lots of technical knowledge or experience!

Unsure whether you would be a good fit for the role? Please get in touch to talk it through!

This volunteer role will be mostly home based. However you will occasionally need to travel to locations around the Severn region. Lift sharing and public transport will be possible, but volunteers must be able to travel independently to agreed locations.

We have funding available to help cover the costs of travel and other expenses.

The deadline for applications to this role is Sunday 02 June.

You can find out more about the work of Severn Rivers Trust, and the summer placement opportunities at our free webinar on Thursday 02 May.
