We’re recruiting two Land and Property Managers – one for the South East of England and one for Central England. Please specify your preference in your application.
Working as part of a UK wide team, you’ll manage all land and property acquisition, disposal, legal, tenancy and agricultural aspects of Woodland Trust sites in support of the regional estate teams, engaging with external parties, leading on internal approval processes, assisting with BPS/CS applications and instructing in-house solicitors or specialist agents or consultants.
By building and maintaining effective relationships with the land owning / land agency community, you’ll help to meet the Trust’s aims and as a means of sourcing land-based opportunities. You will also assist in delivering the UK Land Plan as it applies to the region.
You will be a qualified Chartered Surveyor, preferably with a rural practice background, and a strong knowledge of rural land use policies.
Using your initiative, you’ll be adept at identifying and exploring opportunities to deliver the Trust’s aims whilst maximising a budget in a cost-effective manner. You will be efficient and able to perform to a high standard in a constantly changing external environment, managing risks, identifying and capitalising on opportunities in line with the Trust’s cause.
A full driving licence and ability to undertake travel across a wide area, sometimes to remote locations is essential, with occasional overnight stays.
