Fixed term to 30/09/2024 with possibility of extension subject to securing further funding.

We are recruiting for two highly experienced Project Managers to deliver two key projects as part of our WaterSpace Programme.

1 x Bath River Line Project Manager (WaterSpace)

1 x WaterSpace Connected Project Manager

We have secured funding for two significant Green Infrastructure Projects within the West of England. The first, ‘The Bath River Line’, is an urban project to create a linear park through the heart of Bath, the project will include improving walking and cycling, enhancing the riverside parks and river corridor through Bath. The second project ‘WaterSpace Connected’ focuses on the river corridor between Bristol and Bath and is being developed with the other Unitary Authorities in the West of England.

We are seeking two experienced Project Managers to develop and deliver these exciting projects. Both projects involve working across several B&NES departments and with external partners, including the Canal and Rivers Trust, Bath Spa University, National Trust, WECA and Environment Agency.

The post holders will have overall responsibility for delivering the WaterSpace projects, including project management, budgeting, reporting to WECA, writing reports for B&NES senior managers and members, communications, and community engagement.

The post holders will have proven ability in delivering complex projects, design development, writing funding bids, tender briefs, managing consultants, and overseeing consultation events using expertise, initiative, and judgement.

It is expected that you will possess proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills including writing and editing skills, the ability to ensure milestones and deliverables are set and achieved to time and to a high quality.

We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated person with experience of green infrastructure, landscape design, transport, community engagement, an interest in the natural environment and its links to health and well-being.
