Hours of Work: Full time, 40 hours per week. Contractual hours can be worked flexibly over 5 days, within Eunomia’s Office Hours, Monday – Friday, 6:00-20:00. Employees must be available to attend meetings during core office hours 9am-5pm.

With environmental issues increasingly at the top of the business and public sector agenda, there is growing demand for our expertise around the world. Accordingly, we are growing as a business. Eunomia currently has c.140 employees worldwide and offices in London, Manchester, Bristol (HQ), Brussels, Athens, New York and Auckland. We are now looking to expand our team with a number of new junior and trainee consultants.

Job description:

You will be involved in a range of tasks including excel based modelling, desktop research, technical report writing, contributing to bids, and preparing presentations for clients. You will be involved in multiple projects at once and the type of work is likely to be varied. Work will be tailored to the candidate's skills, but with opportunities to learn and develop.

Essential Criteria:

  • Either educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, or with at least three years’ experience in a relevant role;
  • Proven organisational skills, working in a calm, logical way to deliver tasks efficiently;
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with multiple colleagues, peers, and external clients;
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, with strong report-writing skills;
  • Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and engagingly;
  • Excellent all-round IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office;
  • Willingness to ‘muck-in’ and carry out a range of tasks as required; and
  • A demonstrable commitment to continuous learning and improvement so as to achieve high standards.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Good technical knowledge, ideally based on practical experience, in at least one of the following areas:
  • Holding a relevant post-graduate qualification;
  • Excellent data analysis skills, including manipulation of large datasets and statistical analysis;
  • Social research techniques;
  • Demonstrable experience of applying creative, practical, common sense thinking to solve real-world problems; and
  • A genuine desire to develop a career in environmental consultancy, ideally with prior experience working within the consultancy business model.

On a Personal Level:

You will be flexible and comfortable under pressure, have a strong work ethic and an ability to rapidly learn technical work in a range of areas. You will be a self-starter, highly organised, and share our commitment to a high quality of work. You are likely to have either or both (a) an excellent academic track record and (b) relevant practical experience. A personal interest in, and commitment to, environmental and sustainability issues is expected.

  • You enjoy working hard to make a difference.

You must be eligible to work in the UK. Eunomia is unable to sponsor visa applications for staff at junior and trainee levels. Remuneration:

Bristol & Manchester based: £21,250 to £30,000 depending on skills and experience.

London based: £26,000 to £33,000 depending on skills and experience.

Salary figures for London-based staff include an additional £3,000 in accordance with Eunomia’s London Weighting Allowance policy.

Holiday Entitlement:

  • If your application is longlisted you will be invited to complete an online Numerical Reasoning test. Shortlisting will then be undertaken for first interviews.
  • First interviews are anticipated to be carried out during the weeks beginning 19th and 26th September 2022. They will follow a question and answer format and be held via video conferencing. Further testing may be required, and appropriate notice will be given in any such case.
  • Second interviews are anticipated to be carried out during the week beginning 10th October 2022. These may be held via video conferencing or in person .
