As a Parks & Countryside Officer at Maldon District Council you will be expected to carry
out a variety of duties and tasks in order to maintain the grounds & infrastructure of our
25 parks and open spaces across the Maldon district to a high standard. These include the
flagship sites of Promenade Park in Maldon & Riverside Park in Burnham on Crouch.
The Parks & Countryside team’s “annualised hours” means working 29 hours per week October to March, increasing to 46 hours per week during April to September, which are paid monthly at an average of 38 hours/week across the year (April to March).
The role will also require you to work regular weekends/bank holidays as part of the team rota, with occasional additional paid hours available to support major events and Council activities.
Full Uniform and PPE will be provided as part of these roles.

The ideal candidate will have the desirable competencies listed below, although training will be given both to meet the basic skill/qualifications and as ongoing professional development.
In order to carry out this role, you will need to hold a full driving licence and be able to meet or obtain via training the qualifications/experience as listed within the Job Description.
