Closing date: Friday, 19th August 2022 4 days left
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join a small team that's making a big impact in a beautiful location!
Working four days/week primarily with the Island's Primary Schools, you'll be developing, resourcing and leading the delivery of Manx BirdLife's nature conservation education programme.
The
role seeks to inspire young people across the Isle of Man to discover more about wild birds and
their place in the natural world - through curriculum-linked sessions, standalone indoor and
outdoor activities, and through maintaining excellent relationships with educators and
education leaders/decision-makers.
You'll also oversee Manx BirdLife's popular Garden Birdwatch Scheme, supervise a number of office volunteers and contribute to the wider activities of the team and operations of the charity.
Essential requirements include a relevant degree-level qualification, DBS Certification, applied understanding of Health & Safety and Child Welfare, own transport (suitable for business use) and willingness to work flexibly around the Island as well as three or more years' experience in a teaching environment, including proven ability to develop lesson plans and resources.
The role would suit a self-starter finisher/completer with a passion for junior years education, a sound knowledge of the natural world and a keen interest in nature conservation.
