Visitor Engagement Manager

£29,300 – £31,800 per annum, dependant on experience, plus up to 9% employer pension contribution.

Full time, permanent.

Based at St. George’s Place, York (though requests to be based at any one of our regional offices will be considered) with travel across the region facilitated by access to Trust vehicles. Yorkshire Wildlife Trust supports both hybrid (a mix of office and home) and flexible working.

Are you a champion for inclusive visitor experiences? Can you lead a creative team to develop and deliver inspiring assets and events? Do you want to help us to bring about a wilder future for Yorkshire? If you’ve answered “yes, yes and YES!” then you might be just the person we’re looking for!

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust are seeking an innovative and experienced Visitor Engagement Manager to help us grow and diversify our audiences and strengthen our supporter journeys towards increased engagement, income generation and impact for the natural world.

The successful candidate will work across multiple teams to develop and implement strategic plans for investment in nature reserve-based assets, curate a highly targeted programme of wild events and experiences and raise the profile of our portfolio through destination marketing - all to help us achieve our vision of inspiring and enabling at least 1 in 4 people in Yorkshire to be taking positive action for nature’s recovery as part of their daily lives by 2030!

The post holder will be a highly effective ambassador and advocate for the Trust’s work throughout Yorkshire, as well as a champion for accessibility, inclusion and exemplary supporter care. They will be highly proficient in the use of office-based computing software, hold a full driving licence and be willing to travel regularly between some of Yorkshire’s most iconic wild places.
