Do you have a passion for the environment? Do you enjoy talking to people?

We are looking for confident individuals to join our team and inspire people to become members of The Woodland Trust. This sales role will suit anyone with a passion for the environment who feel at ease starting conversations with the public. Every day will be different, from attending amazing events to working in beautiful woodlands.

ABOUT US

The Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity. We want to see a world where trees and woods thrive for people and nature. The Trust engages and inspires people to make their difference tackling the nature and climate crisis helping protect, restore and create our vital woods and trees.

THE ROLE

  • 22.5 hours per week part time
  • Friday to Sunday and some Bank Holidays with occasional overnight stays
  • Attending public events, festivals, markets, and our own woodland sites
  • Engaging with the public to inspire them to join as members
  • Must have access to a vehicle and be able to travel to agreed work locations

The role of Face to Face Fundraiser is to engage members of the public in the Woodland Trust at various events and venues, with the aim of inspiring them to sign up to become a new regular giving supporter.

Part of a Fundraisers role will include attending public facing events and other activities, such as festivals, markets, local / national events and our own sites along with travel across the UK from time to time.

You will work closely with the Venues Team to build your diary of events where you will set up a display using the provided equipment.

This sales based role will suit anyone with a passion for the environment and conservation as well as people who do not want a traditional 9-5, Monday to Friday role.

There is the opportunity to work more hours based on performance and the availability of event days.

THE CANDIDATE

We would love to speak to people with fundraising or sales experience, but this isn’t essential for this role.

We are looking for enthusiastic, driven individuals who care about nature and the climate crisis. If you have worked in either a customer facing role, customer service or hospitality this could be for you.

Join The Woodland Trust and help to protect and restore our natural environment.

You will be:

  • Approachable and outgoing
  • Resilient
  • Ready to share your passion for the environment
  • Able to engage and inspire a range of people through great conversations, leading to them joining the Woodland Trust
  • Able to share the Trust’s work, strategy and mission
  • Able to work independently and with a wider team

You must have a full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle.
