You will support with developing new ways of recruiting and retaining volunteers from underrepresented areas of the community, assist with identifying ways to increase accessibility and inclusion within the volunteer programme and, as a key member of the ‘volunteer team’ you will act as the positive, go-to person for all volunteers and colleagues on volunteering matters.

Your experience

You will be developing and delivering projects with significant volunteer involvement as well as recruiting, training and managing volunteers. Provision of continued support and motivation to volunteers will also be imperative. 

Self-motivation and problem-solving abilities will be key to this role. In addition, you will be able to work proactively as part of a team as well as independently with your own intuition.

The volunteer projects will be delivered in the park and in green spaces across Peterborough, you will need knowledge in green space management.

Whilst engaging with a wide background of individuals and being the main contact for volunteers, your role will also engage with community and green space stakeholders.
