About the Job

You will be a key customer support across a number of our wholesale accounts and our own-brand website.

Driving awareness and understanding of the premium quality of our honey products to our customers and maintaining the high service levels that we are known for. From day-to-day enquiries, sales and invoicing to analysis and market research to support The London Honey Co brand growth in the UK and abroad. You will be responsible for engaging with customers, turning new leads into customers as well as general admin duties and learning the back-end of our systems and planning operations.

Our wholesale customers range from premium major food retailers, (e.g. Selfridges, Harrods, Waitrose, Gail’s,) to smaller independent environments (delis, farm shops, quality restaurants, hotels). With a UK wide customer portfolio this role will provide the right candidate the opportunity to gain hands on experience and learn about the B2B and D2C landscape. Our website and direct customer relationship is an integral and important part of our business as we continue to grow and have control of the full customer experience. You will help to oversee this fulfilment aspect and its future ongoing development.

Practically, you will be exceptionally well organised and be able to stay calm under pressure within our busy environment. Ideally, you will be passionate about food and nature and have an enthusiasm to learn about our industry.

This is a permanent 4 to 5 days a week position to cover the sales administration and customer relationship desk, after an initial 3 month trial period is completed.

Based in Bermondsey - Hours of work: 9am – 6pm / Mon-Fri

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing excellent customer service levels
  • Excellent communication with our Production and Accounts team
  • Sharing information and updating wholesale customers on our produce
  • Managing and processing orders and enquiries by telephone and e-mail
  • Using Xero software to generate quotes, pro-forma invoices, packing slips – training
  • Managing customer prices and price lists
  • Support with prospecting new customer leads
  • Run weekly stock reports & look up live stocks for customer/sales team queries
  • Monitor accounts stock forecast against purchase orders
  • Desk research for new projects, opportunities, competitors and market analysis
  • Supporting the brand marketing with ad-hoc events and campaigns
  • Analysis and input to help to shape future sales approach There is plenty of scope for this role to develop into more strategic areas should the candidate be willing and able.

We are looking for the following:

  • A passion for food, nature and what we do
  • Degree educated
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Ability to hit the ground running. You’ll enjoy working autonomously as well as part of a tight-knit team
  • Results orientated and self driven
  • Strong IT skills Excel and Xero - Shopify experience a bonus
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Reliability and professionalism
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure at times.
