London Wildlife Trust is seeking a freelance project management professional with events experience to deliver the annual Green Jobs Fair at Walthamstow Wetlands this October.
What is the Green Jobs Fair?
London Wildlife Trust produced its first ever Green Jobs Fair in 2021, held at Walthamstow Wetlands, it will be delivered annually. The first fair was a pilot, that aimed to attract young people aged 16-25 currently under-represented in the green sector. We plan to build momentum and scale up over the five-to-ten-year contract period. The Fair is a key deliverable for our Youth Programmes as well as part of London Wildlife Trust’s wider social value commitments for the Walthamstow Wetlands Management Services contract, awarded in February 2021, therefore Waltham Forest Council are a key partner & stakeholder in this initiative.
When is the event happening? Thursday 13th October 5.30 –
8.30pm 2022
Where is the event taking place? Walthamstow Wetlands
The Brief:
Last year we planned, coordinated and delivered our first ever Green Jobs Fair using in-house resource. As we want to expand and build on the success of the previous event, this year we are looking to bring on board a project manager with events experience to plan, coordinate and deliver the event working closely with our in-house teams and partners. It would also be advantageous to have good contacts in the environmental sector.
We have a maximum budget available of £5,000 (inclusive of VAT) (plus £2,000 for materials) for a project management professional with events experience to produce our second annual Green Jobs Fair at Walthamstow Wetlands.
