AimHi Earth

£28,000 pa pro rata

Closing date: Sunday, 24th July 2022

About us

At AimHi Earth, we put nature at the heart of everything. We exist to provide people with the tools, systems thinking and understanding needed to effectively combat the climate and nature crisis.

We’re rated on TrustPilot as one of the best live online climate education providers for people and organisations.

We’re a ‘purpose over profit’ organisation supported by Cambridge Zero (University of Cambridge), the UN Environment Programme, the Eden Project, Climate 2025 and 1% For The Planet. We’ve delivered training for the UK House of Lords, to an online audience of over 10,000 people at COP26, at a G7 Opening Event, to Team GB athletes and BBC Sports Presenters - as well as numerous businesses ranging from Unilever, Edelman and Sky to Ben and Jerry’s, Riverford Organic and Waterbear.

The role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales and Growth Exec to join our team of ambitious nature-first thinkers. Reporting to our COO, you’ll play a key role in helping us grow our ‘Climate and Sustainability Leadership Training’ B2B client base.

You will be joining us at an exciting time as we are currently rapidly expanding our impact-focused proposition for businesses and organisations.

So you’ll be helping to make sure we create impact at scale, reaching audiences from new and varied sectors - to ensure we’ve got them all covered. There are no magic bullet solutions to the climate and nature crisis, which is why we need everyone, from every sector and industry, to play their part in overcoming catastrophe. We want you to help us reach them.

Day to day, you will:

  • Work with founders and team members to develop and implement a business growth strategy to hit short and long-term goals
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities and valuable emerging markets to expand our client base, whilst forming robust working relationships with new and existing clients
  • Generate leads with clients from a variety of sectors and of various sizes and develop relationships to acquire new clients and streamline our customer journey
  • Contribute towards setting, monitoring and analysing meaningful performance metrics and preparing monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts and retrospective reports

What you’ll need

We’re looking for an individual who will inspire the team and can exceed our expectations, not just someone who has done X years here and ticks Y boxes there. However, there are a number of qualities that we expect will come in handy in this role, including:

  • B2B sales and business development experience
  • A good understanding of the end-to-end sales cycle
  • Aptitude in preparing and delivering engaging and charismatic pitches
  • A solid customer service background with excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • A problem-solving attitude with excellent attention to detail and drive to get things done
  • Enthusiasm, a sense of humour and a relatability to people of all backgrounds
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a remote team
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Right to Work in the UK

Nice to haves

  • Experience working with social enterprise start-ups
  • An in-depth understanding of the wider environment in which AimHi Earth operates, in particular in the sectors of training, education and CPD, ESG and CSR, sustainability and regeneration, or communications and consultancy
  • Hands-on experience using CRM software, Google Drive, Notion and Slack
  • Commitment to combating the climate and nature crisis and inspiring positive change

How we work

We believe that two things are essential to our success: our people and our culture.

And we're looking for more. We want brilliant people who are dedicated, collaborative and believe that, together, we can change the world.

We want to help you do your best, be yourself, and ultimately never have that "Sunday fear", so here are some of our perks:

  • Flexible hours
  • Target-based bonuses for the team
  • Remote working with a small but vibrant, international team with a friendly, respectful, values-based culture
  • Annual £300 professional development allowance and £100 wellbeing allowance
  • Generous holiday leave (25 days pro-rata + UK bank holidays)
  • Workplace Pension Scheme with NEST pensions
  • Monthly social events and volunteering opportunities - to feel part of something!
  • Opportunity to connect with a larger community, via our memberships, fellowships and associations with local and global organisations.
  • Access to co-working facilities in Waterloo, London at Sustainable Ventures and invitations to a large programme of events and learning opportunities
  • The chance to play an integral part within a fast-paced, rapidly growing and very exciting project that’s changing the world for the better
