Closing date: Friday, 8th July 2022

We are Living Streets, the UK charity for everyday walking.

We want to create a nation where walking is the natural choice for everyday, local journeys; free from congested roads and pollution, reducing the risk of preventable illnesses and social isolation. We want to achieve a better walking environment and to inspire people of all generations to enjoy the benefits the simple act of walking brings.

Join us and together we will create a walking nation.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as Project Coordinator to coordinate the delivery of project work with schools and communities across Essex and act as a key contact for delivery partner(s) liaising with schools, school communities and/or any other stakeholders as appropriate.

You will be responsible for engaging school communities and/or other stakeholders through various engagement tools including School Route Audits, workshops and on-street engagement. Support may include the delivery of the pre-school walking initiative Little Feet and the delivery of student-led campaigns in secondary schools. You will be responsible for supporting project audiences in the implementation of each intervention.

This will be a varied role and an ability to embrace a diversity of tasks is essential.

Living Streets is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk; and expects all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be subject to background and criminal records checks as relevant to the job role.

PLEASE NOTE: We can only consider applications from candidates who currently have the right to work in the UK.
