The role

Want to use your first-class content skills to help people reduce their energy bills, save money, and lower their carbon footprint? With the cost of living at its highest level in the last decade, it’s more important than ever that people have easy access to our independent, trusted advice and information. We’re looking for a top-rate content manager who can deliver exactly that.

What you’ll do

Working closely with the head of content and the wider team, you will:

  • Create stories to educate, engage and empower people to save energy and save money.
  • Support the delivery of our content strategy and lead on content requests and content planning.
  • Write and edit news stories, newsletters, blogs, scripts and interviews.
  • Cover our content management system (CMS), including uploading content and delivering website audits.
  • Work with internal energy experts to develop digital content in-house or with external creative agencies.
  • Use analytics and reporting tools to continuously assess and improve content performance.

What you’ll bring

You’ll have an abundance of creativity, bags of enthusiasm and:

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering a content strategy and managing a busy content request and planning/curation function.
  • Demonstrable track record of working with a CMS and good understanding of SEO.
  • Excellent writing skills, demonstrable experience of tailoring written content to audience/platform, and first-class attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable experience of writing blogs, key messages, newsletters, news stories, how-to-guides, storyboards and commissioning agencies to make films, animations and photos.
