Salary Range: £79,911 - £88,205 per annum
The leading UK port has an exciting new role for a Head of Sustainability and Environment.
You will be joining the UK’s largest and growing UK trust port, where you will focus on sustainability and environmental strategy and improvement programmes.
You will have the ability to shape the role and become a leader in an organisation who can offer you full support and excellent resources.

The role offers a fantastic leadership opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic individual to play a key part in the continuing and future success of the Port and its wider role in the region and the maritime sector.
This role will drive the organisation’s sustainability strategy to become a Net Zero business. Reporting to the Director of Sustainable Marine Operations, the postholder will lead the Port’s drive to improve its environmental performance across all of its activities.
An experienced senior leader, you will be a strategic thinker, able to develop a wide Sustainability and Environmental strategy, plan, review and develop management systems and evaluate compliance with legal and other obligations.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of shaping, planning and delivering strategies that enhance an organisation's sustainability and environmental performance. You will be focused on delivering measurable impact through the delivery of projects and programmes, such as behavioural change programmes and infrastructure investment projects.
To be a success in the role you will need to be proactive, enthusiastic, innovation and results-focused, with excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing abilities. You will possess the experience and confidence to report at Board level and across a diverse range of stakeholder groups.
