ADAS is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join our Wolverhampton team. This role is permanent, flexible and a hybrid office and home working position with flexibility in the split. Our Ecology business comprises a highly skilled team focused on providing services to a wide range of clients, particularly developers, utility companies and the renewable energy and rural industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Working as a team with our existing ecologists to ensure quality projects are delivered on time to our clients, managing these projects from inception to finalization
• Providing solid technical advice to clients
• Writing technical reports including preliminary ecological appraisals, ecological impact assessments, mitigation strategies and biodiversity management plans, habitat regulations assessments and protected species reports
• Quality review and approval of reports
• Leading on protected species surveys and training junior staff

Person Specification

• Associate Level CIEEM membership or above
• Experience of managing projects and liaising effectively with clients
• Commercially aware with budget management experience
• Excellent written communication skills to produce accurate technical reports 
• Full driving licence and have the use of a car
• An in-depth knowledge of ecology, legislation, and survey techniques
• Knowledge and experience in Biodiversity Net Gain and Habitat Condition Assessments
• Ideally experience in BNG / Condition assessments / BREEAM
