We are looking for an Information Officer who will be responsible for leading and managing all external and internal communications on behalf of Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – a nationally protected landscape on the eastern edge of the Yorkshire Dales. 

As an expert in marketing and communications, you will develop our communications strategy and deliver our PR, marketing and communications to raise the profile of Nidderdale AONB and highlight the work and projects carried out by the AONB team. The role involves communicating a wide range of environment issues and is very varied. A typical day could see you liaising with partner organisations, developing new digital or print media and managing press releases.

Based in our Pateley Bridge office in the heart of the AONB, you’ll work closely with the team on communication aspects of all our projects, ensuring effective communication with a wide-ranging audience including farmers and landowners, the local community, tourism visitors, conservation organisations, Defra and local authorities. We offer flexible working options, including a comprehensive home-working setup.

A full driving license and access to a car is essential.
