Do you have a background in Corporate Sustainability or Environmental Management? Do you have a passion for helping businesses achieve their Net Zero target? If so, we're looking for a Sustainability Co-Ordinator to join our team. 

We are looking for someone to work alongside our Head of Sustainability to support the business and our clients on their sustainability journey! The main focus of this role will be to assist in the delivery of our Sustainability strategy including creation of our pathway to Net Zero, driving improvements in our supplier engagement and performance as well as supporting responses to bid submissions. 

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting with ESG reporting for the firm
  • Coordinating sustainability initiatives collaborating across teams to deliver initiatives on time
  • Assisting with the maintenance of our ISO14001 Environmental Management System
  • Gathering and analysing data for sustainability metrics
  • Working with others in Bidwells to drive the required organisational change for a sustainable future
  • Helping to design and attend participative focused groups, workshops etc 
  • Supporting the creation of training plans and advise on sustainability issues across the firm
  • Carrying out the necessary research to respond to specific organisational/sector challenges
  • Assisting with input to tendering processes on sustainable practices and solutions
  • Assist with periodic revisions to our sustainability policy, strategy and progress reports 

About you

  • Experience working in an environmental or sustainable role previously 
  • Degree in environmental science/management/sustainability (desirable)
  • Organised, keen eye for detail, able to cope with a fast paced working environment
  • Experience of carbon footprint calculation
  • Experience of developing energy audits (desirable)
  • Familiarity with sustainability data management software (desirable)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills
