WWT is embarking on an ambitious new ten-year strategy. By 2030 we want to have put wildlife into recovery by creating more space for nature with more people on nature’s side. Science shows that when 25% of people act this is enough to change the minds and behaviour of the majority so we have set ourselves the ambitious target of helping 1 in 4 people in Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull to act for wildlife and become part of #TeamWilder.

The GIS & Data Officer role provides a key function in gathering, interpreting and sharing the evidence base we need to achieve our goals and enable others to take action for wildlife. In our Wilder Warwickshire work this means understanding where the best places are to create new habitats and working with others to create a nature recovery network informed by evidence. For Team Wilder, data helps us to understand the audiences we are engaging, evidence impact of actions and demonstrate our progress towards nature’s recovery.
