Sustainability Manager (12month mat cover)

The Higgidy story began back in 2003 when our Co-Founder, Camilla, spotted a gap in the market to add a splash of colour and flavour to the savoury pastry aisle, delivering delicious, wholesome, home-baked pies to our plates. Over the years, as we’ve grown, so has our range of food. Predominantly veggie-led, we now make a whole host of pies, rolls, quiches, slices and other savoury snacks too. Everything we do at Higgidy links back to our core mission of “Baking a Difference”. We’re all about baking glorious veggie-led food that makes a difference to people, community and the planet. At Higgidy we’re all passionate foodies. We celebrate the glorious imperfections in our food which is crafted and from the heart. All our food lives our brand truth, that it’s been “Baked Generously”.

Why is this role important?

We have bold ambitions to become an even bigger Force for Good. Our Sustainability manager will play a huge part in this! We created the role only last year, and this is an exciting opportunity for a 12-month maternity cover that will be critical in continuing the fast progress we have already made. In 2021 we became a B corp and in 2022 we are setting out our Recipe for Responsible Business, that has ambitious targets across three areas; Food, People, Planet.

With your passion for responsible business and sustainability, you will create innovative ways for us to become a business for good. You will be responsible for continuing to develop, and importantly the implementation and monitoring, of Higgidy’s Recipe for Responsible Business.
