Closing date: Sunday, 29th May 2022
Established in 1989, Plantlife International is the only UK charity dedicated to conserving wild flowers, plants and fungi in their natural habitats and helping people enjoy and learn about them.
The crises of climate change, biodiversity loss and public health demand an urgent response from all sectors of society and the next decade will see significant new investment in nature. In partnership with others, Plantlife are directly facilitating the protection and restoration of some of our most precious natural spaces, but we need to do more and do it faster. We have an ambitious strategy to grow our charity and an equally ambitious fundraising strategy to grow our income in a sustainable and resilient way through enduring partnerships.
We’re looking for an exceptional, enthusiastic individual, capable of playing a role in supporting delivery teams on some of our key projects.
The Project Support Officer will be a key role, acting as the interface between our project teams, supporters and funders, ensuring that our supporters are kept up to date on delivery progress and stewarding significant funds into Plantlife.
The role is responsible for enabling the successful delivery of Plantlife’s leadership programmes and projects through the provision of a range of support services, including the co-ordination of project grant claims and reports, maintaining relationships with funding partners, day-to-day management of project finances and project administration.
The successful candidate will be a confident individual who is highly organised with excellent communication skills and experience of working with and reporting to funding partners.
This is a full-time, permanent role working 35 hours per week. Our normal working hours are 09:00-17:00 but we actively support flexible working. We offer hybrid working between home and our offices either in Salisbury or in Retford, Nottinghamshire. There is an expectation of fortnightly (every other Wednesday) attendance at our Head Office in Salisbury.
We offer excellent benefits, including up to 29 days annual leave (with length of service), plus bank holidays, 6% employer contribution pension, Death in Service benefit, occupational sick pay and a 24 hour Employee Assistance Programme.
