Contract: Permanent, 35 hours a week
College Lake is the main visitor site for the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust and has a
busy visitor centre, with over 40,000 visitors a year. As a result, the site has high impact on
the Trust’s reputation and profile.
This role will involve working with both land management and visitor centre employees, existing volunteer teams and contractors to ensure top notch land management of sites and visitor experiences. The College Lake reserve warden will be responsible for the management of College Lake and Pitstone Fen nature reserves.
Applicants should have proven track record in practical nature conservation, some level of experience in working on busy visitor sites and ideally within a similar organisation or environment.
The Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust is a membership-based voluntary organisation, managing 90 nature reserves, influencing land management and educating and encouraging all sectors of the community to care for local wildlife.
