Working alongside the Wildlife Trusts and the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Nextdoor Nature will see thousands of people across the UK empowered to lead action for wildlife within their communities. What does this mean? It means we are looking for a Wilder Nottingham Officer to nurture and empower communities across Nottingham to help themselves take action for nature and the climate.

You don’t need to have nature conservation experience for this role, but an interest in wildlife and making more space for nature will be beneficial. We are looking for someone with a passion for change and community mobilisation (see role profile for more details) and ideally with knowledge of Nottingham, its people and places.

We are the county's leading conservation charity run by local people for the benefit of local wildlife, with nature reserves across the county. We are a part of a UK network of 46 local Wildlife Trusts working to protect wildlife.

Salary

£25,061.58, pro rata

Contract

This is a full time, fixed term role for two years.

Location

Based at our very recently modernised head offices at The Old Ragged School, Brook Street, Nottingham, NG1 1EA, you’ll form part of our amazing People and Nature Team.

Hybrid working between the office and remotely is acceptable. You’ll need to travel across the city and occasionally to our reserves and other offices, so the ability to travel independently is essential.
