ROLE OVERVIEW
Be part of our sustainability team providing some of the most progressive and influential work that our Practice undertakes. Our team leads on sustainability strategies and assessment, net zero carbon services, building performance, lifecycle carbon analysis and wellbeing.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Experienced Sustainability Assessor carries out BREEAM assessments on high profile and boundary pushing projects across all sectors. Depending on interest and experience, they will also advise on HQM, LEED, WELL, Fitwel or NABERS, guiding delivery of bespoke targets.
Working as part of project teams, they will be proactively offering advice and championing sustainable outcomes. They will also supervise less experienced assessors, share knowledge across the practice, and prepare fee offers.
Depending on experience they may also carry out complimentary services to achieve certification, for example lifecycle carbon analysis, and facilitating workshops on materials and climate change adaption. This is an exciting time to join us with the industry experiencing renewed interest in sustainability and Max Fordham leading on delivering Net Zero Carbon projects. This position will be based in either our London or Cambridge office.
ABOUT YOU
A passion for building design, and knowledge of sustainability assessment, climate change issues, sustainability policy and the statutory planning process all contribute to the success of this role.
You will have an engaging approach and an analytical mind. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, complemented by great organisational skills. You will enjoy developing lasting relationships with collaborators and colleagues and will be capable of championing a sustainable approach.
You will possess an excellent understanding of how sustainable outcomes can be achieved on different project types. You will be able to develop a project brief, as well as defend and advocate for the sustainability agenda within a project team.
