We are looking for a Landscape and Environment Operative to join our Estates Team and assist with the ongoing management of a suite of sites including country parks, designated landscapes and impressive grounds and gardens of private residences. The sites are located across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire therefore, a willingness to travel between these locations is essential.

Estates Maintenance – Maintenance of the estate grounds through grass cutting, path maintenance, hedge cutting, scrub clearance, fence repairs, autumn leaf clearance, weed control, shrub and tree pruning using a wide range of tools and machinery;

Gardens and Grounds – Maintenance of extensive gardens including formal borders, shrubs and lawns;

Visitor Management - Monitor car parks and ensure full compliance with the car parking charges using manual ticket issuing and/or handheld devices.

Core skills and requirements

• Practical habitat and estate management skills including the use of associated tools and machinery, including strimmers and ride-on mowers;
• Happy to work outside despite the weather conditions;
• Willingness to travel between site locations;
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and bank holidays;
• Excellent communication skills.
