We are looking for a skilled and experienced Corporate Energy Manager to lead a programme of carbon reduction and energy efficiency projects and manage energy consumption and costs across the Council’s portfolio of buildings.

If you are passionate about energy efficiency and carbon reduction, with a flexible approach, and with the ability to work with others across teams and services, then this could be the opportunity for you.

Working in a fast-paced environment you will provide specialist Energy Management and Building Services advice, acting as the Council’s expert on energy efficiency and carbon reduction schemes. You will develop and deliver innovative retrofit schemes and strategies, along with targets for energy management, as well as leading on all matters relating to energy procurement and usage across all our properties.

Known for your ability to manage and deliver projects you will have proven experience of securing funding from a wide range of sources. You’ll add to this a full understanding of carbon reduction legislation and wider environment considerations as they apply to housing and corporate buildings.

You will be self-motivated and will have excellent presentation and communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical matters to a non-technical audience.

Assisting with the production and delivery of our Climate Change Strategy and Carbon Management Plans, you will also be able to demonstrate your commitment to tenant and leaseholder involvement.
