Closing date: Monday, 14th February 2022
We are looking for 2 new Scrutiny Committee Members representing the Forestry/ Carbon sector, and 1 representing the consumer/ professional sector.
Meeting requirements 2 x year, fully
renumerated plus travel expenses.
This is a great opportunity to join the Certification Scrutiny Committee, a group of people representing various stakeholder groups, who have a shared interest in safeguarding the integrity of the certification body, a trading arm of the Soil Association. The committee plays an important role in providing independent assurance of the effectiveness of our quality management system and integrity behind our certification marks.
We are now recruiting for an astute and principled individual with good judgement and a keen sense of integrity and independence to join our independent Certification Scrutiny Committee (CSC) in 2022. We are specifically looking for representatives from the forestry/carbon sector –applicants from an NGO and/or with international experience would be particularly welcome in or outside of the UK - and a consumer/ professional representative.
The Certification Scrutiny Committee meets twice a year in the Soil Association’s offices in Bristol or remotely and is fully remunerated with reasonable travel and subsistence expenses reimbursed.
The committee is an interesting and varied group with representatives from the consumer, forestry, food manufacturing and agriculture sectors. It will offer a fantastic opportunity to gain or add to your skills base in governance and independent review.
