Energy Saving Trust is a leading and trusted organisation, dedicated to promoting energy efficiency, low carbon transport and sustainable energy use. We aim to address the climate emergency and deliver the wider benefits of clean energy as we transition to net zero.

Energy Saving Trust has a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Analyst to join the Transport Team here in Edinburgh. We are looking for an individual who has a keen eye for detail, is confident working on large data sets in Excel and has experience producing technical reports. You will support the delivery of decarbonation strategies and technical reports for local authorities, public sector organisations and other clients across Scotland. You must have experience of the low-carbon transport sector – ideally through working closely with large fleets.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, working alongside the other Technical Analysts, you will engage with clients to collect, analyse and process data and other information, to produce high quality reports. As well as delivering presentations to clients as and when required. These reports will be suitable for distribution both internally and externally. Your work will be vital in supporting Energy Saving Trust’s role in reducing the country’s transport emissions by helping to transition Scotland’s public and private fleets to electric.

To secure this exciting opportunity

You will be a highly motivated self-starter, keenly attentive to detail and striving for excellence in all the work that you do. You will have a strong knowledge of low carbon transport technologies and the environmental impact of transport. You must be able to use your outstanding communication skills to effectively manage client relationships. You will also have excellent report writing, work prioritisation and presentation skills. Confidence in Excel and other IT programmes is essential.

This is a permanent position. We are open to flexible working patterns and blended (home and office-based) working is possible for this role.
