Within this role you will be a key member of the Dulas Senior Management Team. Responsible for the delivery of the companies consultancy function you will lead the team to ensure growth in sales across the planning, EIA and technical consultancy functions. You will work closely with the companies Business Development Manager to identify new revenue opportunities and to ensure that the team have the skill set and resource to deliver high quality projects to the UK and International Renewables markets. You will take responsibility for the P&L management of the function.

You should have significant experience and qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as planning, EIA management and/or technical consultancy within the Renewables market. You will ensure that project delivery is to the highest standards, taking responsibility for Quality processes within the team from complex tender submissions through to technical report writing. You will undertake the day to day operations of the team delivering a wide range of technical projects whilst exploring opportunities for sales, business growth and considering future strategy.

The type of person we are looking for:

  • Experienced in a technical discipline relevant to Renewables,
  • Highly numerate with the highest level of written skills and attention to detail,
  • Ability to talk in technical detail with potential and existing clients about their project,
  • Ability to write complex tenders,
  • Ability to manage a diverse set of employees, ensuring that skill sets are continuously improved.

What sorts of projects will they be involved in?

  • Recruitment programmes,
  • Mentoring and upskilling of existing staff,
  • Delivery of complex tenders (such as EIAs),
  • Identifying sales opportunities through tender portals, networking and active sales alongside the BDM,
  • Peer reviewing technical work and at times writing technical reports as part of a project,
  • Day to day management of resource,
  • Thinking about long term strategy,
  • Producing sales and marketing literature.
