Dulas Ltd is a worker governed co-operative based out of Mid-Wales. We have been at the forefront of the renewables and humanitarian technology industries for nearly four decades, creating innovations that are still leading the field today. Our engineers developed the world’s first mass produced, World Health Organisation accredited, off-grid solar-powered vaccine refrigerator. Through various global programmes and partnerships, including with GAVI and UNICEF, Dulas have supported vital immunisation efforts across the world for decades.

Our Refrigeration business is spilt across two business groups; the ‘Solar International’ team who are based in Mid-Wales and lead on research and design, sales and marketing, and in-country installation and maintenance of our WHO accredited vaccine fridges, whilst the manufacturing team at Polestar Ltd in Bognor Regis, a company owned by Dulas, specializes in the design and manufacturing of medical, industrial and scientific refrigeration products for the UK and international markets.

We are looking for an individual to head up this cross-company refrigeration business, ensuring that the strategy, as set by the MD and Board of Directors, is fully implemented and to take responsibility for ensuring that profit is met. A key focus of our existing strategy is growth in production capacity and sales across the customer portfolio.

We have an excellent senior management team in place who can run the day-to-day operations of the various functions. We need someone who can pull this newly formed cross company team together, ensure the successful implementation of our technical, sales and marketing and manufacturing strategies and drive forward the commercial opportunities for the business to achieve growth in sales and manufacturing.

We want someone passionate about the sectors we work in. You do not need to be a technical expert in fridges or manufacturing, but you will need to understand the markets we work in and the challenges and opportunities of operating within them. It is a very pertinent time to join us given the global context and the need for Cold Chain Equipment globally as part of the solution to COVID.

You will need to be commercially astute, have a good understanding of financial management, a natural leader and comfortable with making decisions.

We are open to applications from individuals who would like to have a flexible working arrangement between the home and the office, but we require regular attendance at our two main locations in Machynlleth, Mid Wales and Bognor Regis. Expenses incurred for any agreed arrangement will be as per our standard expenses policy.
