We are proud to be an inclusive and flexible employer. We particularly welcome applications from all sectors of the community including under-represented groups in the charity sector.

Keep Britain Tidy is an iconic and dynamic charity, providing first-class solutions to environmental challenges. For more than 60 years, we have campaigned for cleaner, greener places. As the country’s leading anti-litter charity, we work tirelessly to combat waste and neglect so that everyone can love where they live. Using our world-class research and working with partners, we develop game-changing programmes that fly the flag for clean, accessible and attractive beaches, parks and green spaces and are proud to inspire and educate millions of children. The work of Keep Britain Tidy has never been more informed, important and urgent.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic project officer to join our Fylde BeachCare project and deliver the LOVEmyBEACH campaign. Fylde BeachCare is a partnership project between the Environment Agency, Keep Britain Tidy, United Utilities and the local authorities of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. It aims to inspire the local community to care for their coastal environment and bathing waters on the Fylde Coast.

You will work with local communities, local authorities, the business sector, the education sector and other strategic partners on campaigns tackling local pollution issues on the Fylde Coast.

You will need to be a real team player; confident, positive and really great at persuading people to get involved, as well as liaising with key organisations within the Turning tides partnership. You’ll need to feel as at home out and about on our fabulous Fylde beaches as well as at meetings and events.

Are you a great communicator, able to recruit, motivate and inspire communities to change their behaviour to help us have cleaner seas? If so, you may be just what we’re looking for.

Candidates will need to be willing to work evenings and weekends as required for project work or special events. The post requires someone who is able to work in a largely self-directed manner, is flexible and willing to apply themselves to a range of different projects and situations.
