The White Cliffs Countryside Partnership (WCCP) was created to care for the special landscapes and wildlife of the Dover and Folkestone and Hythe Districts, and to help people enjoy them.

This an excellent opportunity for an experienced and outgoing individual to lead on the development and delivery of an exciting and innovative education and events programme at Fort Burgoyne, Dover – a Victorian era fort and surrounding chalk downland. Working in partnership with the Land Trust, you will develop and deliver an events programme that celebrates this iconic fort and its surrounding landscape, engaging local communities and visitors in the natural and historic environments. You will also be responsible for developing Fort Burgoyne as a centre for outdoor education and learning.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience of leading public engagement events and engaging local communities and members of the public in their local area
  • Experience of developing, delivering and managing event programmes
  • Experience of leading school groups outside the classroom
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and best practice in community engagement
  • An interest in wildlife and the outdoors
  • Outgoing and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and team working skills
  • IT skills in Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel and Outlook

This post requires you to have a full driving license and your own transport.
