An exciting opportunity to be involved in organics recycling.

We are looking for a dedicated and self-motivated Research and Communications Assistant to support the Compost and Biofertiliser Certification Schemes. Reporting to the Head of Certification Schemes, you will work within the Certification Schemes team at REAL. The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • ensuring timely communication with schemes’ internal and external stakeholders;
  • managing the database for recording information about plants and products certified under the Schemes;
  • delivering scheme-related research projects and analysing relevant legislation.

Essential requirements for the role include:

  • education to degree or equivalent level;
  • ability to work as part of a team and in a collaborative environment;
  • proven analytical and organizational skills.

Desirable requirements for the role include:

  • good knowledge of MS Office;
  • a good understanding of the circular economy principles;
  • availability to work in central London.

This is an opportunity to work with a smart team led by experienced management. You will have the chance to learn on the job and to take your own initiative and shape the Schemes’ growth and development.

We are offering this role on a one-year contract which is extendable. The salary is in the region of £25,000 per annum, with 25 days’ paid holiday.
