Due to one of our team moving on, we have a vacancy for a Domestic Energy and Sustainability Consultant to join our friendly team. We are looking for someone who thrives on helping our customers challenge themselves to do better and see the construction industry evolve. The Role: 

A Domestic Energy and sustainability consultant requiring liaison with a broad range of construction industry professionals, to consult on and provide Part L calculations and compliance solutions across both Part L1a and L1b regulations. The successful candidate will need to have a deep understanding of Part L and future homes standard, building construction and building physics. We work on a number of exciting projects that are looking beyond the regulatory minimum standards so this role will include consulting on appropriate construction solutions to not only comply with Part L but to be pushing towards net zero carbon. The chosen candidate will need to have a great focus on detail and a high level of customer care. The role will be influential to the ongoing development of the business and the industry. Essential skills:

  • Knowledge of Part L1a and L1b, Future Homes Standard, SAP 10 and building physics
  • Knowledge of Sketch Up
  • Knowledge and understanding of council energy and sustainability policies
  • Experience in construction or sustainability
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills inc. Microsoft Office and AutoCAD 

Desired Skills:

  • OCDEA qualification
  • Valid CSCS card
  • BIM understanding
  • Thermal Modelling experience (BR 497)
  • Rainscreen cladding (3D U Value) calculation experience
