The Fife Coast and Countryside Trust (FCCT) is seeking four Countryside Wardens to join our dynamic and effective team. We are an organisation driven by a passion for Fife and committed to seeing people benefit from time spent outdoors. We believe that our people are our greatest asset and look to employ those who bring a positive, energetic, constructive, and committed attitude to the workplace.

Countryside Wardens are an important part of the public face of FCCT at the many sites we manage across Fife. With a focus on improving visitor experience, your friendly and helpful attitude will drive you to engage with the public around their use of the countryside. Working closely with FCCT’s Operations team, you will help to identify areas in need of repairs or maintenance while carrying out some minor tasks yourself. You will also be looked to for suggesting improvements and solutions to problems as required on the sites managed by FCCT.

You will report to the Access and Recreation Manager and work to a rota of activities and locations. Through the work, you will build on a good knowledge of the Scottish Outdoor Access Code and other legislation related to outdoor access and recreation, becoming confident in informing the public on a wide variety of issues including wild camping, littering, dog fouling and access. The Communities and Engagement Team is FCCT’s newest team and you will be joining as we implement a new structure with exciting prospects for growth and development.
