We are looking for a creative thinker to co-ordinate the development and delivery of the Council’s Climate Change Strategy and Carbon Management Plan.

If you are enthusiastic with a positive approach, as well as the ability to collaborate with and motivate others, then this could be the opportunity for you.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you’ll keep up to date with developments in national policy, and good practice from other Councils and organisations and then work with Council services to devise new projects in response to these developments.

Known for your ability to manage complex programmes to deadlines, you will have experience of leading corporate climate change and environmental sustainability projects. You will add to this a sound understanding of the wide range of technologies, approaches and initiatives used to address climate change.

You will be able to work under limited supervision, and will have excellent presentation and communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues in an accessible way and engage with a wide range of audiences.

In return we offer a competitive benefits package which includes family friendly policies, a generous annual leave allowance, and access to the highly valued Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
