Full, part, and seasonal contracts available working as an Ecological Consultant.

Working on various ecological projects at various locations around the country.

Assisting and leading protected species and habitats surveys.

Compiling reports from above surveys and preparing mitigation and enhancement plans.

Effective working with senior and assistant ecologists. Liaising with clients and relative professionals such as architects, planners and councils.

Managing Projects and working to deadlines.

Steep learning curve suitable for an enthusiastic individual beginning a career or stepping up from assistant consultant wishing to gain significant experience in all areas working with senior ecologists to fast-track their career within a small company.

3 months probationary, 6 month contract, with view to a permanent role dependent on performance.

Training will be provided via a training plan including a mixture of on-job, taught, and guided self learning.

Required:

• Relevant degree (other qualifications and backgrounds will be considered)
• Driving Licence and access to own car or/and able to drive a van.
• Good understanding of British wildlife Ecology
• Good Animal and plant ID
• Good communication Skills
• Ability to write professional technical reports

Desirable:

• Understanding of the UK planning system and relevant laws and legislations
• Experience undertaking a variety of ecology surveys; Particularly Bats Amphibians and Botany.
• Natural England class license would be advantageous
• Species group speciality
• Own car and driving Licence
