We are looking for an experienced and dynamic manager to give a new strategic direction to the community engagement, education and visitor experience on the Great Fen Living Landscape, Peterborough and throughout the wider Cambridgeshire area.

The Great Fen is a vast fenland landscape between Peterborough and Huntingdon with a dramatic and fascinating history. It is home to two National Nature Reserves, protected for their unique habitat and the varied wildlife they support. The area is currently benefiting from one of the largest restoration projects of its type in Europe and the landscape is being restored and transformed for the benefit of both wildlife and people.

We are looking for an energetic person who will develop and deliver exciting new engagement opportunities to maximise income and source new funding streams into the Wildlife Trust including attracting new Wildlife Trust members.

We want you to inspire, lead and support a team of passionate staff and volunteers to deliver our engagement work.

You will work closely with the Head of Communities and Wildlife, the Great Fen Project Manager and the Reserves Teams to develop and deliver funded projects engaging with new audiences and increasing the involvement of communities in the enjoyment, learning and participation of the Wildlife Trust.

We also require you to develop, promote and deliver innovative environmental education programmes including Forest Schools to build relationships with schools both onsite and outreach in the Cambridgeshire local area.

You will develop and maintain strong working relationships with other local organisations including community groups and businesses, working in partnership to enhance nature conservation and developing health & wellbeing opportunities for everybody to get involved.
