This role is an exciting opportunity that sits in the Insight & Analytics team and works closely with the Business Development team at Energy Saving Trust. The location is flexible although the existing team is either London or Edinburgh based.

With net zero and carbon reduction efforts being high priority across both public sector organisations and private sector, this role is leading the Energy Saving Trust’s low carbon proposition, responsible for commercial activity, public sector tendering and client work delivery. Maintaining and developing excellent knowledge of emerging developments in the low carbon and sustainability sector will be essential.

You will be responsible for identifying, developing and delivering net zero, carbon reduction and sustainability opportunities in line with Energy Saving Trust’s mission and strategy and contribute to achievement of the annual sales forecast and pipeline for our range of carbon reduction and sustainability products and services. The role will involve managing and writing bids and proposals for the low carbon activity, developing commercial business development opportunities, including management of existing accounts and proactively identifying and developing new business. The role will also lead on the management and delivery of client projects, ranging in size, topic and complexity including managing projects from inception through to final delivery.

You will have proven experience of working in a similar role and good knowledge of the low carbon sector across one or more of the following areas: domestic energy efficiency, low carbon heating (heat pumps), renewable energy generation, scenario modelling/decarbonisation pathways, non-domestic building energy efficiency and renewable energy, deep retrofit, life cycle assessment, energy storage and demand shifting/grid flexibility, sustainability strategy setting and implementation. You will bring sector knowledge coupled with commercial acumen and an understanding of policy drivers within the sector to identify opportunities and grow our low carbon offering.

This is a permanent position. We are open to flexible working patterns and blended (home and office-based) working is possible for this role.
