About the Farm Carbon Toolkit

The Farm Carbon Toolkit is a leading UK enterprise that supports and empowers farmers to reduce their carbon footprint, build their resilience and healthy soils. For over a decade, we have worked to further the understanding of greenhouse gas emissions in agriculture, providing tools for measurement and delivering projects that inspire real action on the ground.

Alongside our Farm Carbon Calculator and online Toolkit, we run a range of projects including peer-to-peer training and learning events, the Soil Farmer of the Year competition, bespoke consultancy for farmers, landowners and companies, as well as partnerships with research institutions to further our understanding of soil carbon sequestration. Job Summary

We are seeking an individual who can drive forwards our ambitions to be the most trusted, robust and highly-regarded farm carbon calculator in the UK. We anticipate this role will suit a candidate proficient in GHG footprinting methodologies and accounting frameworks, with a strong understanding of agricultural GHG emissions and how they interact with farming practice.

  • To ensure the Calculator sits at the forefront of how we measure, understand and communicate farm-related GHG emissions.
  • To lead the Calculator Development Cycle: this involves gathering feedback from users and stakeholders, research and development of the methodology, managing an annual independent review and engaging with developers on the design, build and testing process.
  • Improve external communication and transparency about the calculator, ensuring website content is up-to-date, to a high-quality and accessible standard.
  • To support the training and skills of the FCT team on using the Calculator and responding to technical enquires or feedback.
