Butterfly Conservation is the world’s largest organisation dedicated to the conservation of butterflies, moths and our environment.

We have a fantastic opportunity within our science and recording team. Our Head of Biological Data will lead Butterfly Conservation’s strategic transformation from a data gathering organisation to a data using and enabling organisation. You will lead the ongoing development and implementation of improvements in the gathering, management and use of biological data, including the recommendations from a recent Data Review and oversee Butterfly Conservation’s species and site recording and provision of data services (including GIS) to staff, volunteers and external data users.

If you can deliver day-to-day tasks while thinking strategically, improve processes and want to be part of a dynamic wildlife charity then this is the post for you. There is the possibility of an immediate start. Please see our Job Pack below for further details.
