Role Profile
The ZSL Sustainable Business programme (ZSB) works to achieve a world where business practices protect & enhance biodiversity. The Project Analyst will be responsible for coordinating and conducting in-depth ESG assessments of company policies and commitments, disclosures of their operations, and progress reporting for the SPOTT project. The position will also provide additional research support on the Sustainable Business & Finance teams, including but not limited to researching media reports on SPOTT companies, communicating with companies on their assessment results, and other research and communication tasks to support the assessment process.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The role is part of ZSL Sustainable Business (ZSB) programme’s project team. The role is line managed by the ZSB Project Manager based in the UK and supported by a second Project Analyst, Communications Coordinator and Database Manager.
This project analyst position will lead on coordination of SPOTT assessments for palm oil and coordination of natural rubber assessments shall be shared between Project Analysts. Therefore, the role will gain an understanding of sustainable agriculture issues and corporate commitments in the palm oil sector primarily. Key duties include:
