This is a key role to coordinate and support the development of apprentices and volunteers within the Lake District National Parks Ranger teams, in ways that meet the Authority’s Volunteer and Apprenticeship Strategies.

The Lake District National Park is England’s largest World Heritage Site, inscribed due to its outstanding universal values of Identity, Inspiration and Conservation. You will be based at our Northern Office, located near Keswick, but you will be working throughout the national park with occasional weekend and evening work

You will build on the excellent work our volunteers already carry out, recruit new volunteer and develop new volunteering initiatives. We will also be taking on new apprentices and your role will be key in planning their training and development. You will be based at our Northern Office, located near Keswick, but you will be working throughout the national park with occasional weekend and evening work. There is the potential for some home working and/or working from other LDNPA offices.

You will have excellent communication skills, a successful track record in project management and experience of managing or working with apprentices and/or volunteers.

Requirements

This role does require eligibility to Work in the UK and a full, current driving licence.
