We are looking to recruit two experienced gardeners to work with our Head Gardeners in
maintaining the grounds, lawns and hedges at two separate estates. Positions are based either
in Reading, Berkshire or Potters Bar, Hertfordshire.
We are looking to appoint two gardeners with excellent work ethic and the ability to look at the bigger picture.
Working for Maydencroft within this role your responsibilities will be:
- Maintaining the gardens, hedges, lawns and various borders through weeding, mulching and plant care.
- Roads, drives and paths.
- Equipment - There will be a broad range of garden, grounds, turf care and other relevant machinery, the successful candidate will also be responsible for maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
- Employees - Working directly under the Head Gardener, you will benefit from their knowledge and experience - Continued development is essential.
- Health and Safety - The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of Health and Safety within their work.
- Willingness to travel to other sites during the winter months as and when required.
Essential Requirements
- 3 years industry experience.
- Strong plant and horticultural knowledge.
- Professional and presentable demeanor with positive client liaison skills.
- Horticulture qualification level 2 or equivalent.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Mechanical knowledge of industry equipment and machinery.
Desirable Requirements
- Landscape industry knowledge
- Emergency first aid at work.
- PA1, PA6 safe use of pesticides.
