Do you want to help bees and other pollinating insects?

Can you inspire and engage others to help nature’s recovery?

Would you like to join our growing B-Lines team who are working with partners to deliver a national network of wildflowers?

Then perhaps this is the job for you!

We are looking for an engaging and enthusiastic person who is able to work closely with landowners and land managers to deliver wildflower habitat creation. The successful candidate would also be experienced in engaging the public in nature conservation activities and events.

Buglife is seeking to appoint a full-time Conservation Officer to deliver our Severn B-Lines project and help pollinators such as bees, butterflies and moths to thrive.

We are looking for an engaging and enthusiastic person who is able to develop partnerships to help deliver wildflower habitat creation on the ground. A keen interest in outreach and education is essential along with an understanding of pollinators and their conservation priorities. Excellent communication and engagement skills are vital to the success of this role as you will be delivering workshops, talks and leading bug walks. Experience of working with project partners, members of the public, community groups, volunteers and landowners is required. Project management and budgetary experience is desirable.

This is an exciting time to join Buglife as we expand our invertebrate conservation work in the West Midlands. The role will be home- based and is a fixed term contract until the end of March 2022.

Severn B-Lines is funded by the Green Recovery Challenge fund, which is administered by the National Lottery Heritage Fund on behalf of Defra.
