Cornwall Wildlife Trust is the leading conservation membership charity in Cornwall. We work with one and all to create a wilder Cornwall with people close to nature, and with land, rivers and seas rich in wildlife.

We are currently looking for a self-motivated and passionate Data and Evidence Officer to work within the Environmental Records Centre for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly team.

ERCCIS’s core aims are to provide accurate, relevant and up to date information about wildlife and the environment in Cornwall.

In this role, you will deliver support for our spatial data training and provision, as well as, management and analysis of a wide range of species, habitat and other environmental data.

You will use online, desktop, mobile and server based (ERSI and Microsoft based) technologies to deliver our spatial information products (graphical and web); answer requests and showcase the evidence that ERCCIS hosts and disseminates. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the service delivers a spatial data provision for Cornwall Wildlife Trust.

Candidates must have a broad understanding of environmental data management and the associated computer software, along with the skills using GIS to display and analyse environmental data. A creative thinker, you should be able to design new ways to apply ERCCIS data to help tackle environmental problems.

It is important that you have proven project and budget management skills with the ability to lead and manage volunteers. Good interpersonal skills and ability to advocate ERCCIS services to a range of audiences will also be key.

If you have excellent spatial data management and analysis skills along with a passion for wildlife, we would love to hear from you!

*Currently we envisage the role to start working at home.
